Can I learn to dance? Of course! Dancing is as easy as walking. Michael Scoggins has shared his gift of dance with thousands of people just like you who now consider themselves successful dancers. He will show you all the tricks to shine on the dance floor, while having fun with your partner.
What should I wear? Anything comfortable and that you can move freely in. Just come as you are and get ready for the fun!
How long will it take? You will be able to begin dancing after your first lesson. After about 3 months you will be able to impress all of your friends at your next wedding event, party, and even be able to go out to a real ballroom dance. Many of Michael’s students have been dancing with him for over a decade!
Will I learn the most popular steps? You will learn the latest and most popular steps from Mambo, Salsa, Merengue, Fox Trot, Rumba, Swing, Cha cha, Waltz, Country and Tango. How much do lessons cost? Group lessons: $133 per month per couple, or every 4 lessons. Private lessons: $80 per lesson. These are usually reserved for people with a goal in mind, such as rehabilitation, surprising a partner, building a showcase dance or people who just want to start in a private setting. It is also recommended that each couple enrolled in group lessons register for a private lesson once every 3 months to take their dancing to the next level.
What if I miss a lesson? If you must miss a lesson don’t worry. You can come in twice in one week or come for your regular class and stay to take half of the next class. This way you will stay on track for your dance training.
Is your system of teaching difficult? Not at all. Michael specializes in making learning fun and easy in a relaxed atmosphere. Each maneuver that is taught is built upon the next maneuver.
What are the benefits? Dancing is a lifetime investment in fun, poise, confidence, enhanced social skills and new friends. Dancing is also a superb physical conditioner, providing a workout while having fun. For older adults, research has shown dance is one of the best ways to extend quality and quantity of life.
